MFW 1st Grade - Weeks #29-31

As I'd suggested, Caleb has agreed to read several stories a day and write his sentences in his bible notebook.  In the interest of saving time, I don't have pictures to post of his bible notebook entries, but he's done really well with them so I will probably do an all inclusive post on those in the near future.

This post covers the material we've been doing as we've combined weeks.  We're doing reading and math and as I've said in previous posts, all the fun stuff will be done this summer while it's 100+ degrees outside and we shouldn't be out there anyway.  We have some fun science stuff to do and Caleb can't wait!!

Bible Verses we talked about:

"A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor."  Proverbs 22:9
"...A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother."  Proverbs 10:1
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise."  Proverbs 11:30

Bible stories we've read:

A Dead Girl & A Sick Woman
Bread & Fish
The Good Samaritan
The Lost Coin

The Lost Son
The Blind Man
Zacchaeus
The Last Supper

Jesus Shows His Love
Jesus Is Alive
Jesus Goes Back to Heaven
The Day of Pentecost

I can't believe we're almost through.  MFW 1st Grade has been INCREDIBLE.  ;o)

We're looking forward to turning the last page in our 1st year curriculum.  It's not far off, that's for sure!!  I told Caleb if he could double or triple up on his bible stories we can be done even sooner!  We'll see if I can get him to do that!!
